The Body Shall Bear No Trace explores the uncertain boundary between human and animal embodiment. Made from pigmented and bleached abaca pulp, ink, hair, wool fibers, latex skins, and silkworm cocoons, the work suggests the fragmented hide of a doe. Hair appears to merge with the animal form, while latex mimics exposed or shed skin. The cocoons recall the wooded landscape of the artist’s childhood, connecting bodily vulnerability with memory and the natural world.
